In NeTEx and SIRI the codespace concept is used to ensure the uniqueness of data elements and attributes across datasets. It uses the same model as namespace in order to identify a unique XML Schema, where codespace is used on the object level.

All datasets delivered to Entur must use their unique codespace, assigned to them by Entur. This allows Entur to combine different datasets into one single dataset.
