Merging and splitting stops
Rather than deleting objects, or creating duplicates, NSR allows the user to transfer quays between stop places. This helps maintain static ID’s in the database and reduces the number of actions a user needs to perform in order to create a correctly structured stop.
This guide requires familiarity with User guide: National StopPlace Registry
Step by step
Merge two stop places
This action presumes that one stop place is to be kept and the other discarded - yet all quays from both stop places are to be kept. This is typically used for culling duplicates or merging nearby stops.

All quays from the discarded stop place are moved to the kept stop place. The discarded stop place is now expired. |
